A Doula for the Whole Family
I am here to support your whole family – I will provide emotional and educational support relevant to every member of the family because everyone is adjusting to life with a new baby! I will work with you to improve the efficiency of your home to best meet your needs, assist with meal-prep (including nourishing broths to aid recovery), sleep, childcare, and anything else which promotes your well-being at this time. I am also trained to be aware of indicators of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADS) and can refer you to a specialist for care if needed. If you or your partner are curious about the warning signs or risk factors of PMADs or how you can set up a system of support for each other, let’s talk!
Infant-feeding Support
You may choose to exclusively body feed, only use formula, or a combination of the two in some way. No matter how you plan to feed your baby I will support you in reaching your goals. I can provide support with coordinating late night feedings (including overnight care), navigating feedings around your schedule, determining your baby’s feeding patterns/milestones, and assist with bottle-feeding (including formula), as well as body-feeding + common latch issues. I may also refer you to trusted professionals in the area who can provide additional support if needed, such as lactation consultants, pediatricians, chiropractors and more!
Nonbinary + Trans Safe Care
I will always center and honor your personal autonomy, safety, pronouns and other baby + parenting related language which feels right to you in my care. We will work together to create a plan for you to gently and lovingly tend to your postpartum body and your baby in a way which affirms your identity. This can include incorporating + discussing body-feeding, if this is what you have decided makes sense for you or if you are just curious! Additionally, should you want or need a referral to a local specialist, from pediatricians to lactation consultants and everything in between, I will ensure I send you to someone who will also provide the same standard of care.
Fees
My fees are set on a sliding scale and are based upon local rates. I use an honor system and do not require any proof of income, hardship, etc. – I ask that those with the resources to do so pay on the higher end of the scale to help maintain a sustainable balance for myself and my clients.
* If you do not see a plan which works for you and your needs, please contact me via email and we will discuss other options – I never want cost to prevent you from reaching out for support *
