- My Birth Doula Services (Local to Asheville, NC) Include:
2-3 Prenatal Visits (6-9 hours total)
– Topics Covered Include: Reviewing your Childbirth Education Classes (what to expect, labor and birth), formulating
a birth plan, comfort measures, labor positions, body feeding, infant care, and preparing for life with baby.
Unlimited Phone/Email Support upon Hire
Attendance of Labor & Delivery (up to 18 hours, use of backup doula for longer births has additional cost)
1-2 Hours of Immediate Postpartum Support
Basic Photography of Labor, Birth, and Immediate Postpartum (When Possible)
1 Postpartum Visit (2-3 hours)
1 month of unlimited email and phone support

I am in your space, and I am honored to be a guest here – I will never speak for you, make assumptions about what you want/need, and I am not here to replace your birth partner! Whether I am supporting your birth partner, taking photographs, answering your questions, or providing you with hands-on physical and emotional support, I am following your lead and will quickly adjust the mode of care being provided to match your changing needs
Trans and Queer safe + gentle care
We will work at your pace to create a birth plan which centers your safety, autonomy and affirmation of your identity. We will focus on determining alternatives to medical + anatomical terms that don’t honor you, your connection to your baby, building a supportive care and postpartum team, and much more.
Trauma-informed
care
Many of us have experienced some form of trauma over the course of our lives and no matter the source it can impact a person’s life in many ways, including a person’s experience of their birth and their confidence in themselves and their body. I will always prioritize your safety and comfort, as well as work alongside you to create a birthing environment which feels safe and supportive. Some of the modes of gentle care I extend to all clients include, the use somatic breathing + movement, grounding scents (hydrosols), supportive positioning, light massage, and more.
Sliding Scale Fees
My fees are set on a sliding scale and are based upon local rates. I use an honor system and do not require any proof of income, hardship, etc. – I ask that those with the resources to do so pay on the higher end of the scale to help maintain a sustainable balance for myself and my clients.
